The UGGYS GENUINE story...
UGGYS GENUINE, based in Perth, Australia, stands for quality genuine ugg boots products and quality service.
Our aim is to provide the widest variety of ugg boots styles and colours made of the best possible materials, sold with the highest level of customer service.
UGGYS GENUINE ugg boots are all handmade in Australia out of the finest Australian sheepskin (Merino Sheep). Based in Perth, Western Australia, we stock only the best styles from established manufacturers around the nation.
The UGGYS journey all began one winter’s day when the Company Director and Founder went looking for a solution to keep herself warm in her Perth home. What she was about to discover would change her life, as well as the future brand of ugg boots, forever.
The Director purchased a pair of sand coloured slippers and the second she put them on she was hooked. In 2006, she began designing, outsourcing and selling her own range of ugg boots. Originally meant for the European customer, UGGYS GENUINE soon realized a huge customer base was on the Australian shores and began selling locally. A trestle table was set up in a small area inside Joondalup’s Lakeside Shopping Centre where her items were sold, operating within the centre every second week.
With organic growth, The Director then leased an area inside Garden City Shopping Centre in Booragoon for 4 months. It opened in April 2007 and stock ran out after Mother’s Day in May. When new stock arrived, customers were grabbing items out of the delivered boxes before they could be unpacked and processed.
The following year UGGYS operated for 7 months in both Lakeside and Garden City Shopping Centres. Clogs (made in Germany) were also introduced to the UGGYS product range this year and we also implemented a discount reward program for our customers where they earn points for every dollar spent.
The first official permanent UGGYS GENUINE store opened at Pe Lakeside Joondalup in March 2009. Radio and print advertising campaigns were implemented in line with the new store opening.
Four years after starting out with only a handful of items in very few colours, more than 30 products were being sold with some items available in 15 different colours.
With the launch of the new UGGYS GENUINE website and another Perth store recently opened, the future has never looked brighter.
